One of the benefits provided by the Colorado ACA Intergroup is the ability to have a Google Workspace for Nonprofits account assigned to your group. This can provide a central place to create, store, share, and edit documents, a unique email address, a video conferencing app (Google Meet), and more. A key benefit to this account is that it is controlled by the group, not by a specific group member, such that if/when group officers change, all meeting documentation and communication is not lost – it stays with the group, not the member.
What do we get with a Google Workspace account?
- Access to Google Meet – a video conferencing tool (similar to Zoom) that you can use for your meeting. Meetings can be scheduled at any time with up to 150 users for up to a 24hr meeting.
- Access to a unique email address for the exclusive use of your group using our domain (@coacaig.org). The email address will need to conform to our naming standards.
- 30GB of online digital storage.
- Access to many other Google products, e.g. Docs, Sheets, Drawings, Calendar, Groups (email lists/forums), Contacts, Chat, …
- All the above is at no cost to your group.
What are the requirements for getting a Google Workspace account with the Colorado ACA Intergroup?
- Your meeting must be registered with WSO on adultchildren.org.
- The above registration must designate your meeting’s intergroup as Colorado ACA Intergroup.
- All communications with us regarding the creation and maintenance of this account must be via the email address registered with the WSO (above).
We like this! How do we sign up?
If your group meets the above requirements, send an email from the address registered with the WSO (see #1 above) to itchair@coacaig.org with your group name and WSO ID, requesting an account.
